New Delhi:
Seven hutments were gutted in a fire at a Commonwealth Games construction site in East Delhi in the wee hours on Saturday.
The incident took place at around 5 am near Akshardham temple.
The fire broke out in one shanty and subsequently spread to six other adjoining hutments, fire officials said, adding 13 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to put out the blaze.
"No one was injured in the incident," they said. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained but it was suspected that it might have occurred either due to a short circuit or due to a bonfire lit by the labourers.
