Nashik : A major fire broke out at the Satpur plant of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd early this morning, fire brigade officials said.
The fire broke out in the Scorpio unit of the company. It was brought under control with the help of 25 fire tenders of the Nashik Municipal Corporation as well as the company's own fire-fighting unit.
Nobody was injured in the incident, officials said.
"The Scorpio plant of the company was gutted in fire. But we do not know the reason behind the fire as yet. We are also yet to estimate the exact amount of loss," Nachiket Kulkarni, Head M & M's automobile plant, told reporters.
