Bilaspur:
Five people were killed and 42 others injured when a tourist bus fell into a 100-feet deep gorge in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, early Tuesday morning.
The tourist bus carrying 47 people was on way to Delhi from Manali. The accident occurred around 4 am near Garha More, about 65 km from the district headquarters, Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Sharma said.
The mishap apparently took place due to brake failure.
Two of the seriously injured have been hospitalised in Chandigarh and the rest have been admitted in a government hospital near Punjab's Ropar district.
The victims hailed from Gujarat, Rajasthan and Haryana, Station House Officer of Swarghat police station Rattan Chand said from the accident site.
