A five-year-old boy was mysteriously found dead near a water tap in a Trimbakeshwar Ashram, where he was living, police said on Thursday.
Kishan Nagesh Almeida, a resident of Diva village in Thane district, was found dead by a servant Lata Bhoye at the Ashram on Tuesday night, they said.
The 'Adateerth' ashram, run by one Trimbakrao Gaikwad was opened to give shelter to children of farmers who committed suicides. The shelter home presently houses 39 children.
Nagesh's autopsy has been conducted but it could not point towards the reason behind his death, Dr Vithal Kale, from the rural hospital told reporters.
