Mysore:
After disappearing for six hours this morning, K Sudershan, the former chief of the RSS, was found in Mysore, sitting tired and alone under a tree near a local palace.
Mr Sudershan, who is 81, is visiting his brother Ramesh, in Mysore. He has not been keeping well and is usually escorted by his assistant. But a little after 5 am, he left his brother's home alone for a morning walk. Around four hours later, there was no sign of him, and his worried family called the police. A missing person's case was filed. 20 police teams and RSS workers searched the area for him.
The police located him and escorted him home. He seemed confused.
The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh is the parent body of the main opposition party, the BJP. Mr Sudershan headed the organisation between 2000 and 2009.
Mr Sudershan belongs to Karnataka, but after retiring as RSS chief, he has been living in Bhopal.
