Four accidents in Andhra claim 14 lives, 17 injured

Hyderabad: As many as fourteen persons including ten women were killed and 17 others sustained
injuries in four separate road accidents that occurred in different parts of Andhra Pradesh today, police said.

Four women were killed and 14 others (all farm labourers) injured when a speeding lorry hit an auto they were boarding near roadside in Gooty mandal in Anantapur district this
morning, they said.

In another incident, six persons including four women and one child were killed and three others suffered injuries when the auto in which they were traveling was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry near I B Bungalow in Alladurgam mandal in Medak district around noon, police said.

Two sweepers were run-over by a car near KBR Park in Banjara Hills here in the wee hours, police said adding both the women identified as Laxmamma and Eshswaramma died in the mishap.

Two persons were killed when two lorries collided head-on near Boyapalli village in Tanduru mandal of Adilabad district, police said.
