Amravati:
Four trekkers today drowned in Madu river near Amravati bordering Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, police said.
The deceased were identified as Afzal Khan Mohammad Jamil, Muzammil Abri Mohasin Ali, Naved Mohammad Afaq and Asif Khan Salim Khan, all residents of Paradise Colony in Amravati, they said.
The mishap occurred when the youths entered the waters near Gangamela Doha after trekking, police said, adding all the bodies were fished out and sent to Morshi sub-district hospital for post-mortem.
