Kanpur:
A French tourist travelling by train was robbed of her purse, containing 1,500 euros and passport, by a snatcher on Wednesday as the train halted before entering into the Central Railway Station.
The Railway Police said Ilina Susika Percel was coming to the city from the national capital by the Shivganga Express when it halted at the signal, a kilometre before the Central Railway Station.
The person snatched the purse from her hand and fled, they said.
The Railway Police said her purse contained her passport, 1,500 euros, Indian currency, driving licence and credit card.
Police are investigating the matter.
