New Delhi:
A 45-year-old rickshaw puller was murdered in Outer Delhi allegedly by his two friends who suspected him of stealing their cycle and mobile phone, police said on Monday.
Mukesh was found bludgeoned to death in Rama Vihar on July 23 morning. His friends Deep Chand (45) hailing from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, and Arvind (20) from Etah in UP were arrested for allegedly murdering him.
During investigations, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Chhaya Sharma said, it came to light that Mukesh was last seen with Chand and Arvind who were not found at their houses. Chand is a rickshaw-puller who also works as a plumber while Arvind is his helper.
A police team received information that they were sleeping on the terrace of a building in Sharma Colony last night. "We apprehended them from there," Sharma said.
