Barabanki: Depressed after failing to qualify for a professional course, a 20-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house in Vijaynagar, police said.
Indubala Verma had appeared for an entrance exam for a professional course but failed to qualify, following which she killed herself on Tuesday night, police said.
The girl was alone at home when she hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her room, they said.
A suicide note, recovered from the deceased, cited her failure in the exam as reason for actions.
