Anil Raghuvanshi is the second suspect arrested for the rape of a Russian girl on a Goa beach. He was arrested at a bus stand and is said to be the man who distracted the mother while the girl was raped by his accomplice.
Goa police yesterday identified the suspect who sexually assaulted the 9-year-old Russian girl.
The suspect, Aman Bharadwaj, is from Uttar Pradesh and is the man who sexually assaulted the child. He is still on the run.
Police sources said the medical examination of the girl had confirmed rape.
The incident happened at Arambol beach on January 26 after which the Russian Embassy in Delhi expressed its outrage over the disgusting incident and demanded strict and efficient measures to ensure safety of its citizens visiting Goa.
The Russian family had arrived in Delhi on December 23 last year and travelled to Goa on January 1.
