Robbers allegedly shot at two brothers of a sugar trader and looted Rs 14 lakh from them on Sikandarabad road in Greater Noida today, triggering protest in the area by traders who downed shutters and blocked traffic.
Two brothers, Amit and Sumit, were returning to Sikandrabad after collecting cash from a retailer this evening when the robbers allegedly stopped their car and started firing at them, police said.
After attacking the two, the robbers allegedly took away their bag carrying Rs 14 lakh cash, police said.
In the attack, Amit suffered two bullet injuries on his chest while Sumit was hit by pistol butt.
Agitated by the incident, some traders downed their shutters and blocked the traffic on Sikandrabad Marg.
