Indore:
A security guard was arrested after he allegedly opened fire at a family injuring four of its members over a dispute of Rs 500 house rent, police said on Thursday.
Akhilesh Sharma (40), a security engaged employed with a private agency, went late on Wednesday night to recover Rs 500 for the room he rented out to Subhash Solanki in Ganesh Nagar area of the city.
While demanding the money, a heated discussion took place between the guard and the family following which Akhilesh opened fire at them with his licenced gun thus injuring Subhash, his wife and two daughters, SP(East) O P Tripathi said.
Akhilesh was subsequently arrested and his gun was seized, he said.
