Gurgaon bouncers threaten rape victim

Gurgaon bouncers threaten rape victim
Gurgaon: The driver of a Haryana minister used his three bouncer friends to threaten a woman he allegedly raped.

Sunil was hired by Haryana home minister Gopal Kanda who directed him to work for his niece Priyanka, a resident of Janpratinidhi Apartments in Gurgaon.

Priyanka had gone out of the city on August 8 and asked her maid not to report to work until she returns.

On August 27, Sunil reached the maid's residence in Vasant Vihar and told her that Priyanka was back in the city and had asked to return to work. Sunil, instead, took her to a vacant house in Gurgaon and raped her.

After the incident the victim returned home but Sunil sent three goons to her house to threaten her against complaining to the police.

"We received the information about some bouncers molesting a girl and we arrested all the three goons. The girl alleged that she had been raped and the goons had come to threaten her not to lodge an FIR in the case. We took the girl for a medical examination," said a police officer.

The Gurgaon police lodged an FIR in the Sec. 24 police station after the confirmation of rape in the medical report.

"We have lodged an FIR under section 376 in Sector 24 police station on the complaint of the girl and have arrested the three accused. The main accused Sunil is still absconding and we will arrest him soon," said Jagdish Singh, SHO Sec.24 police station, Gurgaon.

The victim hails from the Northeast and had been working at Priyanka's home since May 17.
