Gurgaon Metro stations to have parking space
New Delhi: All the five Metro stations in  Gurgaon will have parking space with the facility in HUDA City Centre becoming the second largest provided by the Delhi Metro when the section begins operational before the Commonwealth Games.

Parking space will be available at HUDA City Centre, IFFCO Chowk, M G Road, Sikanderpur and Guru Dronacharya Metro Station, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said in a statement on Sunday.

The parking lot at the HUDA City Centre Metro Station will have a space of 6,500 sq meters, which will be the second largest provided by the DMRC after the Kanaiyah Nagar parking which has 7,042 sq meters space.

The DMRC has announced that the trial runs on the Metro section commencing from Gurgaon will start on January 29.

The five Metro stations will together offer a parking space of 19, 475 sq meteres and with the addition the total available parking space provided by the DMRC nears 1,70,000 sq metres which is adequate for approximately 15,000 four-wheelers and 20,000 two-wheelers.

At present, 59 of the 83 operational Metro stations have parking lots for the convenience of commuters.

The Central Secretariat-Gurgaon corridor, which is nearly 45 km long, will connect North Delhi, South Delhi and Gurgaon in one network.
