Indore: Fifteen youths were arrested today during a raid at a hookah joint that was being run illegally in the city despite a ban on it by the district authorities, police said.
According to police, the hookah parlour, serving tobacco products to youths, was being operated at a house in the old part of the city.
Sources said on seeing the police, those present at the joint tried to escape. However, police succeeded in nabbing 15 youths from the spot, which included an employee of the joint.
According to officials, to curb anti-social elements and discourage youth from drug addiction, a ban on hookah lounges in the city was put in place in May.
