Shimla:
The receptionist of a hotel here, accused of raping a guest earlier this week, has been arrested, police said today.
"The receptionist has been arrested yesterday and his interrogation is on...He has denied involvement in the crime," SP Sonal Agnihotri said.
He also said the medical examination of the woman showed no signs of struggle or injury.
A tourist who had come to Shimla from Delhi along with her husband had alleged that she was raped by the receptionist of the hotel, situated on Cart Road, on December 6.
According to the woman, the incident happened when her husband was away to a court in Shimla for personal work. The victim reportedly narrated the incident to her husband on reaching Delhi, after which they registered a complaint at the Sultanpuri police station.
After a medical examination of the woman, the Delhi Police referred them to Shimla.
