Bhubaneswar: A hunter killed two boys mistaking them as wild boars at a forest in Orissa's Gajapati district.
"Yudhistir and Shyam aged between 8 and 10 years were shot by mistake when they went to graze goats in a nearby jungle of Tintal village in Ramagiri on Tuesday evening," A Sethi, IIC of Ramagiri police station said.
The hunter, Sarathi Pradhan, who was arrested, confessed that he shot the boys mistaking them as boars under the cover of darkness," he said.
Yudhistir managed to run home with his stomach pierced by a bullet and tell his father Rankanidhi that Sarathi had shot them, Sethi said.
The hunter had no licence for his gun, the police said.
