An officer of the Indore Municipal Corporation allegedly committed suicide "due to the work pressure", police said today.
Chief Hygiene Inspector Sunil Reval, 51, consumed a poisonous substance at his house in Paricharika Nagar in Indore last night and died in the hospital, Palasia police station in-charge SS Kushwaha said.
Mr Reval, who was posted at the Saket Nagar Zone office of IMC, left a suicide note which said he was under a lot of work pressure which caused hypertension.
Police are conducting further probe.
On August 30 last year, another IMC employee, sub-engineer Naresh Nehlani, 50, had allegedly committed suicide citing work pressure as the reason.
