Jaipur: Eight youths killed in separate incidents

Jaipur: Eight youths were killed in separate road and rail accidents in Jaipur, Dausa and Chittorgarh districts of Rajasthan.

In an accident that took place at Padsoli village of Chittorgarh district, four youths including a girl were killed when the bike on which they were riding rammed into a stationary truck near the village, police said.

Police further said that the incident took place during wee hours of Tuesday when the four youths including a girl were returning after filing a form for the examination of forest guard on a motorcycle. "The deceased identified as 25-yr-old Hemendra, 19-yr-old Neeru, 28-yr-old Bablu and 28-yr-old Yogendra were friends and natives of the same village," an investigating police officer said.

In a similar accident two youths were killed in a head-on collision between a bike and a truck in a village near Dausa on the Jaipur-Dausa highway. Both the youths succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

In another mishap, two persons died after being mowed down by a train coming from the opposite direction near Shivdaspura in Jaipur district. The accident took place during wee hours on Tuesday.

Passer-bys spotted mutilated bodies near a railway crossing. The police have identified one of the deceased as 26-yr-old Shakti Singh, while another person is yet to be identified.
