A 35-year-old man was shot at and critically injured allegedly by a money lender in Mahanda
bustee near Jemco under Telco police station in Jamshedpur this evening, police said.
The victim Arun Namta was rushed to Telco Main Hospital, Telco police station Officer-in-charge, Kamleshwar Pandey said.
Arun, who sustained three bullet injuries, had borrowed Rs 40,000 on interest from one Satnam Singh Goldy, the OC said, adding that the two had an altercation over returning the money though Arun was paying the interest regularly.
In a fit of rage, Goldy opened fire at Arun and critically injured him, Pandey said, adding that while the accused was reported at large, a case has been lodged in this connection.
