Jammu:
A jawan was injured when his service rifle accidentally went off in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, police officials said here on Friday.
Jatinder Singh of Agra, a Rashtriya Rifle jawan, was hit by a bullet when his rifle accidentally went off in Rai Chak forest belt in Basantgarh during a search and cordon operation in Udhampur district late last night, they said.
He was rushed to Udhampur hospital, where his condition is state to be out of danger, they said.
