Salua, West Midnapore: A group of 20 jawans was thrashed by locals at Salua in West Midnapore district of Bengal after some of them allegedly misbehaved with women at a fair in the district.
The jawans, all part of the state's Counter Insurgency Force (CIF), were attacked by locals at their camp around midnight. According to some reports, seniors at the camp called in the police to bring the situation under control.
The injured jawans and villagers were later admitted to a nearby hospital.
