Muzaffarnagar:
A jeweller was allegedly shot at by unidentified persons who also looted cash and ornaments from him near Janakpuri locality in Muzaffarnagar, police said today.
Three bike-borne assailants intercepted 26-year-old Vikas Sharma when he was returning home last night, Deputy Superintendent Sanjiv Vajpayee said.
When he tried to oppose their robbery bid, they shot at Sharma and fled with cash and ornaments, the value of which is yet to be ascertained, he added.
The victim is undergoing treatment at a hospital and efforts are on to identify and nab the accused.
