Jaipur: Twenty seven school children were today injured when a bus in which they were returning home turned turtle on the Jodhpur-Ajmer Highway, police said.
About sixty children in the age group of 5 to 12 years were returning in the bus from Pillar Balaji school when the bus overturned in Banar area at around 12:45 pm, injuring 27 of them, DCP Rahul Jain said.
All the injured children were rushed to various hospitals in the city, Mr Jain said.
The bus driver fled the scene, he said, adding, exact reason of the mishap was yet to be ascertained.
