Jodhpur:
In a shocking incident in the heart of Jodhpur, a bank guard accidently shot a customer dead at the bank premises.
The incident took place at around 12.30 pm at Pachvi Road area near Kohinoor Cinema hall.
23-year-old Anil Maheshwari, a cooperative store owner, visited the Muthoot Finance bank to apply for a loan. Eyewitnesses accounts say while Anil was approaching the manger's cabin a bullet hit him in his stomach and he fell flat on the floor.
As the word spread, a mob gathered outside the bank and created ruckus. The police was called in but they have been unable to disprese the crowd.
Vijay Kumar Gupta, the manager and Bharat Dube, the guard who accidentally fired the double-barrelled rifle, are still stuck inside the bank, more than 9 hours after the incident.
Anil Maheswari's body has not been removed from the site as the crowd is demanding compensation before they let the culprits go.
