Jodhpur : A man allegedly killed his pregnant wife and two daughters and a niece in Sodhadara village in Jodhpur, police said on Wednesday.
His in-laws alleged that he killed his wife for giving birth to girls, police said.
Radha Kishan Bishnoi allegedly killed his pregnant wife Sushila, two daughters Raveena (8), Manisha (3) and a daughter of his sister in Sodhadara village under Baap division of Phalodi in the district on Sunday, they said.
He later buried all of them on Monday, police said.
Bishnoi called up the parents of Sushila on the mid-night of December 1 and informed them about the deaths, police said.
When the parents and brother of Sushila reached there, they saw the corpses of all the three along with the daughter of Bishnoi's sister in a water tank, police said.
"We got the corpses exhumed and got the post-mortem done today and there was no mark of any injury on any of the body.
We also have preserved the viscera of all of them and are awaiting the detailed report", SP (Jodhpur Rural) Rahul Prakash, said.
Police are trying to figure out the motive behind the murder of his sister's daughter, SP Prakash said.
A case has been registered under section 302 (murder) and 201/34 over the complaint of his in-laws.
No one has been arrested yet, SP said, adding investigations are on.
