Jodhpur:
A woman Air Force officer, Squadron Leader Anandita Dasgupta, has allegedly committed suicide in Jodhpur. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan at her home.
The 29-year-old officer was commissioned into the Air Force six years ago. Her husband is a pilot in the Air Force.
"She was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the wee hours today. The body has been shifted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem," police said.
Mrs Dasgupta, who belonged to Kolkata, was a ground duty officer.
Defence spokesperson SD Goswami said that a Court of Inquiry has been ordered into the case.
"Police investigation is on and we will extend full cooperation to the police investigation," he added.
