Mysore: Ikram Siddique, a Kannada actor, has been taken into custody on charges of using a fake number plate for his vehicle, police said.
Ikram, son of a prominent industrialist in the city, had bought a new car in 2007 that had not been registered but had been used allegedly for last three years with a number which had the registration of a different brand of car in Chikkabalapur district, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted his car and took him into custody. He has been remanded in judicial custody.
