Raipur:
Sixty five passengers on board a Kingfisher flight from Kolkata to Hyderabad had a narrow escape on Wednesday when one of its tyres burst while landing at the airport in Raipur.
"One of the tyres of the plane burst while landing at the Mana airport. But the pilot managed to land it safely and all the passengers were safe," an airport official said.
The 2804 Kolkata-Hyderabad flight was held at the runway and the repair work was on, he said, adding the flight was likely to be cancelled.
With the plane occupying the only runway at Chhattisgarh's capital, another plane from Delhi had to be diverted, they said.
