Kolkata businessmen get threat calls from Karachi

Kolkata: Three Kolkata-based businessmen have received kidnap threats and ransom demands on phone and the caller is believed to be based in Karachi.

Two of the three businessmen, a hotelier and a shoe manufacturer, have filed FIRs.

The Caller has threatened to either pay up or face kidnap.

The Caller may be linked to Aftab Ansari, mastermind of the American Centre attack in Kolkata in 2002 and the kidnap of Khadim shoe baron, Partha Pratim Roy Barman in 2001.

Special Task Force of Kolkata is investigating the case.
