Kolkata: Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has a passion for old motorbikes, went to Lalbazar, the headquarters of the Kolkata Police, to inspect some old motorcycles.
Dhoni knew that a number of old motorbikes are lying in Lalbazar and he used the opportunity of being in the city for the second Test against South Africa to visit the police headquarters.
He was shown some old motorcycles and he drove a Yamaha 350, Joint Commissioner of Police (HQ) Javed Shamim said. Yamaha 350 is a premier lightweight bike of the 1970s.
Dhoni returned after driving the bike for a brief period inside Lalbazar, the sources said.
It could not be ascertained whether he intended to buy the model he drove or any of the others he inspected.
