The Kiss of Love protestors gathered in small groups at various places in Kozhikode.
In Kerala's Kozhikode district, around 50 'kiss of love' protesters were taken into preventive custody, for their call to defy moral policing by expressing their love in public.
This happened in front of hundreds of onlookers who had gathered at the venue to watch the protest unfold.
Police had to lathi-charge the mob to disperse it. The 'kiss of love' protesters came together in small groups to various locations at different times to express their protest.
In November, 'kiss of love' protesters were arrested in Kochi on grounds of law and order issues. Police had said the arrests had been made necessary as the thousands of people had gathered to watch the protest and the situation got out of control.
