Panic struck in West Bengal's Siliguri today after a leopard entered into a house and injured two persons.
The leopard entered the house of Biswanath Ghosh at Hakim Para in ward 15 and attacked his wife Mina Ghosh and a neighbour Litan at about 10.40 AM, Deputy Forest Officer Dharma Deo Rai said.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital in Siliguri, around 580 kms from state capital Kolkata.
Later, forest officials tranquilised the leopard and took the animal to a rehabilitation centre.
