Lucknow: Frustrated over his mother being ill-treated, a 17-year-old boy shot dead his father and grandmother in Lucknow on Friday.
Utkarsh Sahu, a 12th standard student, shot dead the two with the service revolver of his father Rama Shankar, a head constable. He then shot himself in the shoulder in order to misguide the police.
"He was a nice man and we did our course together. I had not met the boy in the last two years," said Laxman Singh, Family friend.
Utkarsh confessed to the killings and said that he killed his father because he was having an extra martial affair, and used to ill-treat his mother. His said his grandmother used to often provoke his father to beat his mother.
Utkarsh is being treated for injury in a Lucknow hospital.
