A gang that was allegedly involved in lifting vehicles and selling them in Nepal on fake registration papers has been busted in Lucknow, police said on Monday.
Rohit Mishra, Deepak Mishra, Gajendra Jaiswal and Chhote Lal Kewat were arrested in Vikas Nagar area on Sunday on a tip off, they said.
During interrogation, they confessed their involvement in at least two dozen incidents of auto-lifting in Lucknow.
The gang's modus operandi was to lift vehicle from Lucknow and sell them in Nepal on fake registration papers, police added.
