Madurai:
A 24-year-old woman has alleged gang-rape by four men, including her boyfriend, in Madurai in Tamil Nadu.
According to the woman's complaint, her boyfriend had asked her to visit him in Madurai. During their meeting, he allegedly invited his friends over phone. They later, she alleges, sexually assaulted her.
However, medical examination of the woman, sources in police claim, did not reveal any signs of rape. Investigators also say the woman's version of the incident has several contradictions.
"We have registered a case of alleged rape... the woman is still in hospital... We would have more clarity once we arrest her boyfriend," a senior police officer told NDTV.
