Madurai:
A baby boy was delivered on the '108 ambulance' on Friday morning at Sriivilliputtur, about 70 km from Madurai, officials said.
When 26-year-old M Paakiyalakashmi of Melapottal near Srivilliputtur started getting labour pains, the ambulance first took her to the Nathampatti government hospital. But there were no doctors at that time, so she was sent to the government hospital at Srivilliputtur, officials said.
En route, she delivered the baby, officials said.
Both mother and child, who have been admitted to the government hospital, are doing well,they said.
