Salem: A 48-year-old man was arrested in Salem on Sunday for opening fire with an air-gun at his son, injuring him, police said.
The man had picked up a quarrel with his wife in an inebriated state and the 19-year-old boy had tried to pacify them. Following this, the man shot at his son with the air-gun, police said, adding, the boy suffered pellet injuries in his shoulder and abdomen.
The boy has been admitted to a government hospital and the air-gun has been seized, police said.
