Shillong:
A man allegedly burnt his wife and then set himself on fire here, police said on Friday.
The couple from Upper Lumparing area succumbed to their injuries on Thursday after October Sohtun (39) poured kerosene on his wife, Kerlin, and set her on fire.
Sohtun later immolated himself by hugging his burning wife, they said.
Sohtun was working at the North East Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO).
The couple leaves behind two minor children.
