Ghaziabad:
A 62-year-old man was hacked to death allegedly by his son over a monetary dispute, police said on Sunday.
Praveen, has been arrested and sent to 14 days judicial custody for allegedly killing his father, Ram Preshad, with an axe, they said.
The son, who runs his own business of building material in Delhi, arrived at his father's house in Loni on Friday night demanding Rs 2 lakh and on denial he axed him to death, the police said.
The accused attacked his father following a heated exchange and scuffle over the issue. Preshad died on the spot, they added.
Police said a case of murder was registered against the son who escaped after the incident but was later arrested with the weapon.
The accused was produced before a Magistrate and has confessed to his crime, they said.
