Coimbatore: A 52-year-old man was jailed for the 74th time at the central prison in Coimbatore.
Kumar, native of Kothagiri in Nilgiris district was lodged in the prison for the 74th time on Saturday when a local court remanded him to custody after he was arrested for stealing
from an offering box at a temple in his village.
He also snatched an ear ring of a woman, jail sources said.
Kumar used to break open offering boxes in temples and indulge in small thefts in Kothagiri area, the sources said.
