Krishnagar, West Bengal:
A man was killed by his friend at Kalyani Nabapally in West Bengal, police sources said on Saturday.
Uttam Barui, 28, of Natunpally under Kalyani Police Station was killed by his friend Manab Mukherjee on Friday night after he had protested against using club funds for drinking alcohol.
Nabankur club had won Rs 3000 in a Football tournament on August 15.
A decision was taken to spend the money in a club picnic. But Manab and a few other members spent a part of the money on alcohol.
When the body of Uttam was brought home on Saturday, a mob ransacked the home of Manab and set it on fire.
