Kharar:
A man allegedly bludgeoned to death his alcoholic father in a village near here for making sexual advances towards his daughter-in-law, police said today.
Angrej Singh, in his mid-50s, was allegedly mercilessly beaten by his son Hardeep Singh, 30, on Wednesday but in the absence of any medical help and food, he died today, said SHO (Kharar sadar) Sub-Inspector Harsimran Singh Bal.
Preliminary probe revealed that Hardeep, a taxi driver, was upset over the alleged sexual advances of his father towards his wife.
"Recently, Angrej even offered Rs 500 to his daughter-in-law while trying to become physical with her but she resisted the move and told her husband, who since then was nursing a grudge against his father," the SHO said.
