Madurai:
An 18-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death by his father at Nagamalai Pudukottai area in the district yesterday as he was upset with his son's decision to live with his estranged mother, police said.
Vellaiyan allegedly killed Kannadasan, a plus-two student, when his son met him after collecting his school mark sheets, police said.
Following an argument between the two over Kannadasan's decision to leave his father and stay with Vellaiyan's estranged wife, Vellaiyan "indiscriminately" stabbed his son, killing him on the spot, police said.
Vellaiyan surrendered to the police with the knife with which he allegedly stabbed his son, they said.
