Puducherry: A 30-year-old man was arrested in Puducherry on Saturday on the charge of murdering his father for not giving him money to buy liquor, police said.
Senior Superintendent of Police B.Srikanth told the media that the man was addicted to liquor and sought money to buy it.
As his father refused, he came home in an inebriated condition on Saturday morning and attacked the 62-year-old man with a sharp-edged instrument when he was asleep at home, killing him, police said.
He has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody for fifteen days. A case of murder has been registered.
