Rewari, Haryana:
In a shocking incident, a man murdered his two minor nephews following a land dispute with his brother and later committed suicide by consuming poison in Mohalla Khasapura area in Rewari, police said.
Dhruv (12) and his younger brother Nikhil (9) were hammered to death allegedly by their uncle Sandeep late last night. The accused earlier had a dispute with his elder brother Rajesh, they said.
Apparently fearing consequences of the twin murder, Sandeep later ended his life by consuming poison, they said.
The police, which recovered bodies of Sandeep and his slain nephews from his house this morning, also seized suicide note allegedly written by him.
In the suicide note, Sandeep admitted to have murdered his nephews out of bitterness caused by the land dispute, DSP Vijender Vij told reporters.
Besides the police also seized a blood-stained hammer allegedly used to commit the crime.
The dispute centred around a piece of agricultural land located at Guriani village, near Kosli, following the recent demise of their third brother Praveen.
Sandeep had sent his wife and three children out of station yesterday and he deceitfully invited his nephews to his house and committed the crime, the DSP said.
