Dehradun: A 32-year-old man, working as a cook in ITBP, killed his wife by slitting her throat at a hospital in Haldwani town of Nainital.
C Bubalin, who is on the run, first gagged his wife while she was sleeping, and then slit her throat, Nainital SSP Sadanand Daate said.
The matter came to notice when the hospital staff found her lying in a pool of blood, Mr Daate said, adding that Bubalin had admitted his wife a few hours before the incident after she complained of giddiness.
The couple had come to Haldwani a couple of days back to attend a friend's wedding.
The two had a heated argument over some issue after which Bubalin had allegedly beaten up his wife, the SSP said.
