Muzaffarnagar:
A local court has sentenced two persons to life imprisonment for killing a college teacher in Muzaffarnagar.
The District Judge Maranant Kumar also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the accused Shobharam and his son Jitendra yesterday after holding them guilty, according to assistant government council Ronak Ali Zaidi.
Chohal Singh, a college teacher, was shot dead on Januray 1, 2005, by three persons when the victim refused to sell his land to them.
A case was filed by the police against Shobharam and his two sons Jitendra and Satendra in this connection. Satendra was later killed in a police encounter.
