Mangalore: To its horror and disbelief, the Air India found that its memorial to the crash victims of Mangalore flight IX812 was destroyed, late on Monday night.
The demolition was such, that not even a single panel was spared.
The police suspect, miscreants used stones to break the granite structure.
Air India does not yet know who is behind it, or even the motive.
The memorial near Bajpe Airport, was unveiled on July 27, two months after the Mangalore air crash.
Erected on the crash site, the plaques displayed names of the 158 passengers and crew members who died.
